Lets just say my mental game really sucks. I seem to let every little thing bother me, I know to get better I am going to have to get past this. For the first time in a long time I am very happy with my equipment, I just need to get over this hurdle that is bringing me way down. I have gone from about a 210 average to barely carrying 200 on one league and about 196 on another.  If I don't fix it I am afraid I will contiune in a downward spiral and probably come to hate the sport that I have loved for so long.

Added the Bite to my bag yesterday and what an addition. I am a down and in player and have never been able to swing the ball across the middle and out with any consistancy without leaving washouts and splits. That includes the black widow that I just picked up a month or so ago. Well last night the Bite changed all that. Did not even think I would use it because the house I bowl in on friday nights usually has a decent shot but everyone was struggling including me, I don't think they cleaned the backends in a couple days and evrything was just acting squirly. So I decided to pull the bite out at the end of the second game and try it out. What a surprise!! Threw it across the middle and out and it come trucking back. I did not have to crank on it or force, just stayed with my normal release and boy was I shocked at the results. First game I bowled with this ball was a 265, I see a lot of big games in my future with the black widow and now the black widow bite in my bag!! Some video added at the bottom!

On a side note I finally submitted to my wifes wishes to get switch grips, kind of came along with getting the new ball. Got three different thumb sizes I can use since my thumb flexuates so much. After one night I have to admit probably not a bad idea but stay tuned we will see how it works out!! Thanks baby!!!

I have bowled quite a bit since I got my new ball. After my Friday night I went out and practiced Sat night and shot 662, got up Sunday morning and bowled in a King of the Hill Tourny, Did preety well averaging about 222 through the first 4 then bowled a not so hot 183 and losing out in the 5th round. But the good news is my wife won the tournament and that was great, she says I forced her to bowl in it or she would not have bowled. She can say what she wants she knows she wanted to bowl!!

 Our Monday night scratch league went well, I shot 213, 200, 220, 213. It should have been much better if not for 2 10th frame blunders. We won 19 out of 22 points for the second week in arow and moved in to a tie for first.

This ball has got me back on my game. A year a go I tried to switch my style of bowling and equipment and it just about destroyed my game and attitude about the game. I am back to throwing the ball the way I use to and my attitude is improving. A big thanks to HAMMER for this amazing ball and steve for drilling it. And of course my wife who put up with all my crap over the last year, I think she is happier than I am!

Just got a new ball "THE BLACK WIDOW", I have been struggling for about a year now and there are many reasons why but mainly because of my attitude if you ask my wife. She is probably right but i wont tell her that. Anyway got the ball and went to see a guy that use to drill for me a couple of years ago that knows how I bowl and who I think is the best ball driller in this area. Glad I did it to because I think my struggles are over, I know its early to say that but the ball rolls so nice and reacts like a beast down the lane if your mechanics are good. First set in league play with this ball was 664 and should have been a 7 if I would have adjusted in the last game. If you have ever seen a train wreck that is what it looks like when this ball hits the pins. Its freaking awesome. I don't know a lot about drilling but I ask for it to go long and snap at the end, and that is exactly what it does!!!

I think I was on the verge of getting ready to hang my shoes up for awhile but this ball has revitalized my passion for bowling. Thanks hunny for the BLACK WIDOW!!!
